Dishy Designs Logo 2022

2014 has started with a BANG and I am working on a couple of projects to turn dishy designs into a more profitable business! Here are the ventures I am busy with at the moment:

1.) ‘A picture is worth a 1000 words’

Thanks to Leigh-Ann Cooke from Love Life Photography I have a selection of around 200 beautiful photos of the dishy designs range! It’s unbelievable what a well-taken picture can do for your products and I firmly believe that spending money on a product shoot is a great investment.

2.) Online Store

I am researching and ‘googling’ and meeting with a web designer tomorrow to discuss an online store for dishy designs. Online shopping has become the norm and dishy designs wants to form part of it. There is SO much to look out for and remember when launching an online shopping portal but I am guided by the most important point which is to get the online store up and running as soon as possible. The template might be basic (pictures will be gorgeous though!) but the sooner the SHOP goes live, the sooner I can make more sales.

3.) Marketing

I have been in touch with various bloggers, online e-commerce sites and magazines, trying to figure out the best possible marketing strategy moving forward, keeping in mind that my budget is super-limited!

Of course, there are no guarantee’s when it comes to being featured on these sites but I am holding thumbs and won’t give up trying! I am proud to announce that dishy designs was featured in the House & Leisure Magazine Blog in December 2013, check it out here:

4.) Markets

I have made it my mission to canvas markets in the Southern Suburbs as I was quite ‘Northern Suburbs focussed’ during 2013. I popped in at the Kirstenbosch Market on Sunday, which is held on the last Sunday of each month (they close over the Winter months of June, July & August). It’s a beautifully-set event held at the Kirstenbosch Stone Cottages.

So if all goes according to plan, dishy designs will be at this market in February. I am also looking into other markets in the area and then of course the BIG annual Cape Town markets, as applications generally open in February/March! Market planning NEVER stops!

5.) Competition

I am running a Facebook competition for ALL dishy designs customers.dishy designs in action

How to enter:

5.1) Take a picture of your dishy designs product in action
