dishy designs at Cape Town Markets

I’ve had quite a few people ask where they can buy the complete dishy designs range from, besides the online shop. Herewith details for the two, regular Cape Town markets I can be found at as well as the 2014 annual markets, where my products will be for sale:

1. Elkanah Schoolyard Market

This is a monthly Saturday market held at the Elkanah High School in Sunningdale Cape Town (no markets during school holidays). The market boasts a selection of food and craft traders and I have recently noticed a very welcome influx of kiddy-related stands – think lego, glitter tattoos and pretty feather hair extensions*. It’s a great way to spend a Saturday morning, buy some fresh bread or almond croissants (my favourite!), cheese, snoek paté* or whatever tickles your taste buds. The upcoming market on 27 September has joined forces with the West Coast Book Fair – buy books, meet authors and bring the kids for story telling.

The remaining dates for 2014 are 27 September, 01 and 29 November. The market runs from 9am – 1pm. Cash only.

*I have seen these products at several markets. Unfortunately I can not guarantee that these vendors will always be there.

2. Kirstenbosch Market

I checked this market out in January this year, to decide whether it aligned with my brand and products and fell in love with it immediately. There is an awesome sense of comradery between traders and after only a couple of markets, it already feels like home to me. Set in the lush grounds of the Kirstenbosch Stone Cottages (just before Kirstenbosch Gardens on the left hand side when coming from Newlands), this outdoor market has been running since 1992 and hosts approximately 180 craft and food vendors. The market takes place from September to May, generally on the last Sunday of every month, with an extra market in December (no markets in June, July or August). Opening hours are 9am till 3pm. Credit card facilities available.

3. Annual Cape Town Markets 2014

dishy designs products will also be for sale at the following annual Cape Town markets (take note that I won’t be there in person as these markets work like one, big walk through shop, offering a wide variety of unique products and a centralised pay-point with card facilities):
