It’s almost time for the annual CY Market! The event will be held from 24 to 29 September at the Welbeloond Farm off Potsdam Road.

This is the 5th market since its debut in 2009 and dishy designs looks forward to being part of the experience. The theme for this years’ market is STORIES and I quite enjoyed writing my dishy story as part of the entry specifications. I used an extract from my websites’ homepage, the story about my future (hopefully) mother-in-law and it seemed to do the trick, as I was accepted. It is no certainty to trade at some of the bigger markets here in Cape Town. Your product gets scrutinised and there is a filtering process before final trader selections are made, so I am rather proud that dishy designs will be 1 of 145 traders to show off their goods at the 2013 CY Market.

This event also presents the perfect opportunity for some early Festive shopping! We all know that last-minute shopping is stressful and generally makes us spend more than if we had planned in advance. AND you will be supporting local crafters and businesses too so it’s a win win for all.

Take note that I won’t be at the market myself, just my product (unless you catch me during my surveillance shift or while re-stocking my stand!).
